Fried Shrimp Po' Boy Ingredients

Method

Directions for Fried Shrimp Po' Boy

1

Prepare the Shrimp

In a large bowl, mix together the flour, cornmeal, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. In another bowl, whisk the eggs and buttermilk together.

2

Batter the Shrimp

Dip each shrimp into the egg mixture, then coat with the flour-cornmeal mixture. Ensure each shrimp is well-coated.

3

Fry the Shrimp

Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry the shrimp in batches until they are golden brown and cooked through, about 2-3 minutes per batch. Remove and drain on paper towels.

4

Assemble the Po' Boys

Cut the French bread rolls in half and spread garlic butter on the insides. Layer with lettuce, sliced tomatoes, fried shrimp, and drizzle with mayonnaise and Shack sauce.

5

Serve

Serve the po' boys immediately with your choice of side.
