Purified Mineral Water (per 1 liter batch)

Method

Purified Mineral Water (per 1 liter batch)

1

Prepare water

Start with 1 liter of cold purified water (distilled or water produced by reverse-osmosis). Ensure the container and utensils you will use are clean and food-safe.

2

Measure minerals

If using a premixed commercial mineral drop product, measure 1 teaspoon of that product. If formulating from individual salts, measure 1/8 tsp calcium chloride, 1/16 tsp magnesium sulfate, and 1/16 tsp potassium bicarbonate (these small amounts approximate a balanced mineral contribution). If you want a slight salty note, add a tiny pinch (~0.03 tsp) of food-grade sodium chloride. Note: quantities are small — use a milligram scale or accurate micro measuring spoons if available.

3

Dissolve minerals

Place the measured minerals into a small cup or beaker with about 50–100 ml of the purified water and stir until completely dissolved. This helps avoid undissolved granules in the final water.

4

Combine and mix

Pour the dissolved mineral solution back into the remaining purified water and gently invert or stir the full liter for 10–15 seconds to homogenize. Avoid vigorous agitation that will introduce excessive air.

5

Adjust and taste

If desired, taste the water. The mineral enhancement should be subtle — slightly fuller mid-palate and a soft mineral finish. If it tastes flat, add an additional 1/8 tsp of the mineral blend or a single dropperful (per product instructions) and stir again. If it tastes too metallic or salty, dilute with additional purified water in 1:4 steps until balanced.

6

Optional aroma

For a mild aromatic note, add a thin slice of lemon or lime to the bottle and let steep for 5–15 minutes, then remove. Do not add citrus for long-term storage (a few hours max) to avoid altering pH and microbial stability.

7

Store

Transfer the finished mineralized water to a clean, airtight bottle or container and refrigerate. Use within 48–72 hours for best freshness and to avoid any potential microbial growth (especially if citrus was added).
