Pancake Preparation

1

Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt until well combined.

2

Combine Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together the buttermilk and the egg until smooth. Melt the unsalted butter and allow it to cool slightly, then add it to the buttermilk mixture and whisk until combined.

3

Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined, being careful not to overmix. The batter should be slightly lumpy.

4

Cook the Pancakes

Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease with butter. Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, about 2-3 minutes, then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown.

5

Serve

Serve the pancakes warm with toppings such as sliced bananas, Greek yogurt, maple syrup, and fresh seasonal fruit.
