Brewing Instructions

1

Mashing

Begin by heating 5 liters of water to approximately 70°C (158°F). Add the pale malt, roasted barley, and flaked barley to the water and maintain a temperature of around 65°C (149°F) for 60 minutes.

2

Sparging

After the mashing process, sparge the grains with approximately 3 liters of hot water to extract the sugars.

3

Boiling

Bring the wort to a boil and add the bittering hops. Boil for 60 minutes, adding the aroma hops in the last 15 minutes of the boil.

4

Cooling

After boiling, cool the wort rapidly to about 20°C (68°F).

5

Fermentation

Transfer the cooled wort to a sanitized fermentation vessel and pitch the yeast. Seal the vessel and let it ferment for about 1-2 weeks at a stable temperature.

6

Bottling

After the fermentation is complete, dissolve the priming sugar in a small amount of water and add it to the beer before bottling. Bottle the beer and let it carbonate for about 2 weeks.
