Bread Dough

Method

Preparation

1

Make the Dough

In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 10 minutes until foamy. Add olive oil, salt, and flour. Mix until a dough forms.

2

Knead the Dough

Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

3

Prepare the Meat Filling

In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the onion and garlic until translucent. Add ground beef, salt, and pepper. Cook until the meat is browned. Stir in chopped parsley and remove from heat. Let cool slightly.

4

Assemble the Meat Bread

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a rectangle on a floured surface. Spread the meat filling evenly over the dough and sprinkle with cheddar cheese. Roll the dough tightly from one end to the other, sealing the edges.

5

Second Rise

Place the rolled meat bread in a greased loaf pan. Cover and let rise for another 30-45 minutes.

6

Bake

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the meat bread for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool slightly before slicing.
