Pork Skins
Method
Cooking Instructions
Prepare the Pork Skins
Start by cutting the pork skin into bite-sized pieces.
Make the Spice Rub
In a bowl, mix together the salt, paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, and black pepper to create the spice rub.
Season the Pork Skins
Rub the spice mixture generously over the cut pork skins to ensure they are well coated.
Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
Fry the Pork Skins
Once the oil is hot, carefully add the seasoned pork skins in batches. Fry until they become puffy and golden brown, about 3-5 minutes.
Drain and Serve
Using a slotted spoon, remove the pork skins from the oil and drain them on paper towels. Serve hot.
