1

Chill glass

Place a martini (coupe) glass in the freezer for a few minutes or fill it with ice water while you prepare the cocktail to ensure the served drink is very cold.

2

Combine ingredients

Fill a mixing glass or cocktail shaker with the measured ice (enough to come near the top). Add 2.5 oz Stoli Elit vodka, 0.5 oz Hendrick's gin, and 0.75 oz Lillet Blanc.

3

Stir

Using a bar spoon, stir the mixture briskly for 20–30 seconds (about 15–20 full turns) until well chilled and properly diluted. The goal is a silky, cold mixture — do not shake, to keep clarity and texture.

4

Prepare garnish

While stirring, cut a 1-inch wide strip of lemon peel. Express the lemon oils by holding the peel over the glass and giving it a quick twist so oils spray onto the surface; then rub the peel around the rim if desired.

5

Strain and serve

Discard the ice or water from the chilled glass. Double-strain the cocktail from the mixing glass into the chilled martini/coupe glass using a Hawthorne strainer and, if available, a fine mesh strainer to catch small ice shards.

6

Garnish

Place the twisted lemon peel on the rim or float it atop the drink. Serve immediately.
