Combine ingredients
In a mixing glass or shaker filled with ice, pour 2.5 oz Bombay Dry Gin or Tito's Vodka, 0.5 oz giardiniera brine, and 0.25 oz dry vermouth (if using). Add 0.25 tsp olive oil if you want a slightly silkier texture and a richer mouthfeel. The olive oil is optional but replicates a savory roundness.
Stir or shake
For a clear, silky martini: stir the mixture with a bar spoon for 20–30 seconds until well chilled (about 20–25 revolutions). For a slightly more aerated and cloudy version: shake vigorously for 8–10 seconds. Both methods will chill and dilute the drink; stirring preserves clarity and texture.
Garnish
Skewer 2 pieces of giardiniera vegetables (for example an olive and a small cauliflower floret or a folded pepperoncini) on a cocktail pick. Rest the pick across the rim of the glass or drop it into the cocktail. Optionally express a small lemon twist over the drink if you want a bright citrus lift (not traditional).
Serve immediately while ice-cold. Provide a small plate for the skewered giardiniera so guests may eat the vegetables as a savory accompaniment.
