Shrimp Preparation

1

Cook the Shrimp

In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Squeeze the juice of half a lemon into the water and then add the lemon halves and Old Bay seasoning.

2

Add Shrimp

Once the water is boiling, add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until they turn pink and opaque. Be careful not to overcook.

3

Cool the Shrimp

Remove the pot from heat and drain the shrimp. Transfer them to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process for about 5 minutes. Drain again and pat dry.

Cocktail Sauce

4

Mix Ingredients

In a small bowl, combine 1 cup of ketchup, 2 tablespoons of prepared horseradish, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, and 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce.

5

Season the Sauce

Stir well and taste the sauce. Add salt to taste if necessary and mix again.

Garnish

6

Prepare for Serving

Arrange the cooked shrimp on a serving platter. Serve with lemon wedges and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley for garnish.

7

Serve with Sauce

Serve the shrimp alongside the cocktail sauce for dipping.
