Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef Patties

In a mixing bowl, shape the ground beef into two equal patties. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the beef patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Melt the Cheese

During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of American cheese on each patty and cover the grill or skillet to melt the cheese.

Assembly

  1. 4

    Prepare the Saltine Base

Lay down two Saltine crackers on a plate as the base for each burger.

  2. 5

    Add Patties

Place the cooked beef patty with melted cheese on top of the Saltine crackers.

  3. 6

    Add Toppings

Slice the tomato and onion. Layer the lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles on top of the burger.

  4. 7

    Finish with Mayo

Spread a tablespoon of Duke's mayo on the top Saltine cracker and place it on top to finish the burger.

Fries Preparation

  1. 8

    Cook the Fries

Prepare the frozen French fries according to package instructions, typically by baking or frying until crispy.
