Fried Oysters

Method

Fried Oysters

  1. 1

    Prepare the Oysters

Rinse the fresh oysters under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Breading

In a bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, cornmeal, salt, and black pepper.

  3. 3

    Coat the Oysters

Dredge each oyster in the flour and cornmeal mixture, ensuring they are well-coated.

  4. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a deep skillet, heat the cooking oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  5. 5

    Fry the Oysters

Carefully place the coated oysters in the hot oil, frying them in batches for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.

  6. 6

    Drain the Oysters

Once fried, remove the oysters from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Feta Dressing

  1. 7

    Combine Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the crumbled feta cheese, Greek yogurt, lemon juice, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 8

    Mix Until Smooth

Using a whisk or a fork, mix the ingredients until smooth and well-combined. Adjust seasoning to taste.

Garnish

  1. 9

    Prepare the Garnish

Slice the pepperoncini, green olives, and red onion. Arrange them on a serving plate.
