French Toast Preparation

Prepare the Egg Mixture
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until well combined.

Soak the Bread
Dip each slice of brioche bread into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak for about 30 seconds on each side.

Cook the French Toast
In a large skillet or griddle over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Once melted, add 2-3 slices of soaked bread and cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side. Repeat with remaining butter and bread slices.

Make the Caramel Sauce
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the brown sugar and heavy cream. Stir until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture begins to boil. Allow to simmer for 3-5 minutes until it thickens slightly.

Add Butter and Bourbon
Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the unsalted butter, bourbon, and a pinch of salt until smooth. Set aside to cool slightly.
Serving the Dish

Assemble the French Toast
On a plate, stack 2-3 slices of French toast. Drizzle generously with the bourbon caramel sauce.

Top with fresh strawberries, blueberries, and a dollop of whipped cream. Serve with maple syrup on the side.
