Method
Prepare juices and glassware
If using fresh citrus (orange or grapefruit), roll the fruit on the counter firmly with the palm of your hand to loosen juices, then cut and juice enough to yield 3 oz per serving. For pineapple, use cold, strained juice. For cranberry, use 100% juice (not cocktail) for best flavor.
Mixing (single serving)
Build a single Mimosa
Add 3 oz of your chosen juice to a chilled flute or coupe. If you prefer a slightly sweeter drink and your juice is tart, add up to 1/2 tablespoon simple syrup now and gently stir once to combine.
Garnish with a citrus wheel, wedge, or pineapple chunk on the rim. Serve immediately while fizzy.
Batching for 4 servings (optional)
For four servings, combine 12 oz (3 oz × 4) of the chosen juice in a chilled pitcher. Add 48 oz Buzzkill Sparkling (12 oz × 4) just before serving. If desired, add up to 2 tablespoons simple syrup to the pitcher to balance tart juices; stir gently, then top with Buzzkill and ladle into chilled glasses.
If serving on ice: fill each glass with 1–2 ice cubes first, then add juice and top with Buzzkill. Note that ice will dilute and reduce fizz more quickly; for best texture, serve without ice in flutes.
