Method
Mix
- 1
Combine base spirits
Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice (about 1 cup). Add vodka, light rum, gin, and triple sec.
- 2
Add the fresh lemon juice and simple syrup to the shaker.
- 3
Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds, until the outside of the shaker becomes frosty and the ingredients are well chilled.
Finish & Serve
- 4
Fill a tall Collins or highball glass with fresh ice (about 1 cup). Strain the shaken mixture into the glass, leaving about 1/2 inch of headroom.
- 5
Carefully float the raspberry liqueur on top by pouring it gently over the back of a bar spoon so it creates a sweet, ruby-colored layer.
- 6
If you prefer a slightly lighter drink, top with 1 oz club soda poured gently over the back of a spoon; otherwise leave it undiluted.
