Preparation of Bisque

Sauté Vegetables

In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until translucent.

Add Sweet Potatoes

Peel and cube the Okinawan sweet potatoes. Add them to the pot and stir for a few minutes.

Add Liquid Ingredients

Pour in the vegetable broth and coconut milk. Add the kaffir lime leaves, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a boil.

Simmer

Reduce heat and let the mixture simmer for about 20 minutes, or until the sweet potatoes are tender.

Blend

Remove the kaffir lime leaves and use an immersion blender to puree the mixture until smooth.

Preparation of Goat Cheese Crème Fraîche

Mix Ingredients

In a bowl, combine softened goat cheese, sour cream, kaffir lime zest, honey, and a pinch of salt. Mix until smooth and creamy.

Serving

Serve the Bisque

Ladle the bisque into bowls and top with a dollop of goat cheese crème fraîche. Garnish with additional kaffir lime zest if desired.
