Crispy Ahi Cake Ingredients

Method

Crispy Ahi Cake Directions

1

Prepare the Mixture

In a large mixing bowl, combine the diced Ahi tuna, panko breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, chopped green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, lemon juice, beaten egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well combined.

2

Form the Cakes

Using your hands, form the mixture into small patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter and 1 inch thick. Place them on a plate and refrigerate for 30 minutes to help them hold their shape.

3

Fry the Cakes

In a frying pan, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the patties in the pan, making sure not to overcrowd. Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.

4

Drain and Serve

Once cooked, remove the Ahi cakes from the pan and place them on a paper towel to drain any excess oil. Serve hot with your choice of dipping sauce or a side salad.
