Preparing the Coffee Mixture
Brew the Coffee
Brew 1 cup of espresso coffee using your preferred method. Allow it to cool slightly before use.
Mix with Liqueur
In a shallow dish, combine the brewed espresso with 1 tablespoon of coffee liqueur. Set aside.
Making the Mascarpone Cream
Prepare the Egg Yolks
In a mixing bowl, whisk together 3 egg yolks and 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar until the mixture is pale and creamy.
Combine with Mascarpone
Add 8 oz of mascarpone cheese and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the egg yolk mixture. Mix until smooth and creamy.
Whip the Heavy Cream
In a separate bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
Fold Together
Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully incorporated.
Assembling the Tiramisu
Dip the Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.
Layer the Ingredients
In a rectangular dish, arrange a layer of the dipped ladyfingers at the bottom. Spread half of the mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers.
Repeat the Layers
Add another layer of dipped ladyfingers followed by the remaining mascarpone cream on top.
