Method
Preparing the Fish
Marinate the Fish
In a bowl, combine olive oil, lime juice, cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the fish fillets, ensuring they are well coated with the marinade. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
Grill the Fish
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Once hot, place the marinated fish fillets on the grill. Grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Remove from grill and allow to rest for a few minutes before flaking into strips.
Making the Cabbage Slaw
Combine Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage, shredded carrot, and chopped cilantro.
Dress the Slaw
In a small bowl, whisk together lime juice, olive oil, and salt. Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss to combine. Set aside to allow flavors to meld.
Preparing the Lime Crema
Mix the Crema
In a bowl, whisk together sour cream, lime juice, garlic powder, and salt until smooth and well combined.
Assembling the Tacos
Warm the Tortillas
In a dry skillet over medium heat, warm the corn tortillas for about 30 seconds on each side or until pliable.
Build the Tacos
To assemble the tacos, place a portion of grilled fish on each tortilla, top with cabbage slaw, and drizzle with lime crema. Serve immediately.
