Method

Preparation

1

Prepare the Chicken Wings

Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.

2

Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well until evenly combined.

3

Coat the Wings

Add the chicken wings to the dry mixture and toss until they are evenly coated.

Cooking

4

Heat the Oil

In a large deep skillet or pot, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). You can use a kitchen thermometer to check the temperature.

5

Fry the Wings

Carefully add the coated chicken wings to the hot oil in batches. Fry for about 8-10 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Make sure not to overcrowd the pan.

6

Drain the Wings

Once cooked, remove the wings from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.

Saucing

7

Toss with Sauce

In a large bowl, add your choice of sauce (hot sauce, barbecue sauce, teriyaki sauce, or honey garlic sauce). Add the fried wings and toss until they are evenly coated with the sauce.
