Method

Chicken Preparation

1

Marinate the Chicken

In a bowl, mix the olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken breasts and coat them evenly. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.

2

Grill the Chicken

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the marinated chicken for about 6-8 minutes on each side or until fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F).

3

Add BBQ Sauce

During the last few minutes of grilling, brush the BBQ sauce over the chicken breasts and allow it to caramelize slightly.

Coleslaw Preparation

4

Mix Coleslaw Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, grated carrots, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until everything is evenly coated.

5

Chill Coleslaw

Cover the bowl and refrigerate the coleslaw for at least 15 minutes to let the flavors meld together.

Sandwich Assembly

6

Assemble the Sandwich

Slice the burger buns in half. Place a grilled BBQ chicken breast on the bottom half of each bun. Top with coleslaw and add pickles if desired. Cover with the top half of the bun.

7

Serve

Serve the BBQ chicken sandwiches immediately while warm, with extra BBQ sauce on the side if desired.
