Method

Chicken Tenders + Fries (Kids Serving)

1

Prep and Breading

Cut chicken breast into 3–4 kid-sized tender strips. Set up a three-bowl station: (1) flour combined with cornstarch, 1/4 tsp salt, 1/8 tsp pepper and paprika; (2) beaten egg with milk; (3) panko breadcrumbs. Pat chicken dry, dredge first in flour mixture, then egg, then press into panko to coat evenly.

2

Fry Tenders

Heat 1/2 cup vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering (about 350°F / 175°C). Add chicken tenders, cook 2–3 minutes per side until golden and internal temp reaches 165°F (74°C). Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate and rest 2 minutes.

3

Cook Fries

If using frozen fries, bake or air-fry according to package for a small portion (usually 8–12 minutes at 425°F / 220°C or 6–8 minutes in an air fryer) until crisp. If using small potatoes, cut into fries, toss with 1/2 tsp oil and 1/8 tsp salt, roast at 425°F (220°C) for 18–22 minutes, turning once. Serve with ketchup.

Mini Cheeseburger (Kids Serving)

4

Lightly season the small patty with a pinch (about 1/16 tsp) of salt and pepper. Heat a small nonstick skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Melt the 1/2 tsp butter on the cut sides of the bun in the pan until golden and set aside. Cook the patty 1–2 minutes per side for a small, quick medium; total cooking should reach safe temp (160°F / 71°C) for ground beef. Place the patty on the bottom bun, top with 1/2 slice American cheese so it melts, add pickle slices and a teeny smear of ketchup, then cap with the top bun.

Mac & Cheese (Kids Serving)

5

Bring a small pot of salted water to a boil and cook 1/2 cup elbow macaroni until tender (about 7–8 minutes). Drain and return pasta to the pot. Over low heat, melt 1 tsp butter, whisk in 1/2 tsp flour and cook 30 seconds. Gradually whisk in 1/4 cup milk until smooth and slightly thickened. Stir in 1/2 cup shredded cheddar until melted and smooth. Season with 1/8 tsp salt and a pinch of pepper. Toss pasta in the cheese sauce and keep warm.

Veggie Sticks & Dip (Kids Serving)

6

Wash and peel as needed. Cut carrots into 2–3 sticks and cucumber into 3 sticks. Arrange on a small plate with 2 tsp ranch dressing in a small ramekin for dipping.

Dessert & Drink (Kids Serving)

7

Scoop 1 portion of vanilla ice cream into a small bowl or cup. Pour the small cup of apple juice into a child-sized cup. Serve chilled.
