Method

Main proteins

1

Cook sausage patties

If using sausage patties: heat a large nonstick or cast-iron skillet over medium heat. Add the 2 patties and cook 4–5 minutes per side until nicely browned and internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). Remove to a warm plate and keep covered.

2

If using sausage links: heat skillet over medium. Add links and cook 10–12 minutes, turning every 2–3 minutes, until browned and cooked through (160°F/71°C). Remove to a warm plate and keep covered.

3

Cook bacon

If using bacon: lay strips in a cold skillet, then place over medium heat. Cook 3–5 minutes per side (depending on thickness) until crispness desired. Transfer to paper towel-lined plate to drain; keep warm.

4

Cook ham

If using ham slices: heat 1 tsp butter or oil in skillet over medium-high. Add ham slices and sear 1–2 minutes per side until warmed and slightly caramelized. Remove and keep warm.

Eggs

5

Prepare eggs (choose style: fried over-easy/over-medium or scrambled)

Lower heat to medium. Add 1 tablespoon butter or oil to the same skillet used for proteins (wipe excess fat if bacon was cooked to avoid smoking). For fried eggs: crack eggs into skillet; season with 1/8 tsp black pepper and 1/4 tsp salt. Cook until whites are set, 2–3 minutes; for over-easy gently flip and cook 20–45 seconds (over-medium 45–60 seconds) until yolk reaches desired doneness. For scrambled: beat eggs with salt and pepper in a bowl, add to pan, let set slightly, then gently fold until soft curds form, 2–3 minutes. Remove eggs to plate with proteins.

Toast

6

While proteins rest and/or during eggs cooking, toast 2 slices of bread in a toaster to desired browning. Spread 1 tablespoon butter on the warm toast.

Plating & optional condiments

7

Arrange the chosen proteins on a plate with the 2 eggs and the buttered toast. Add ketchup and/or hot sauce on the side and sprinkle chopped parsley over eggs if using. Serve immediately.
