Ice Cream Base Preparation

1

Mix Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until the sugar is completely dissolved.

2

Chill the Mixture

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the mixture for at least 2 hours or overnight for best results.

Flavor Variants Preparation

3

Prepare Strawberry Ice Cream

After chilling the base, take a portion of the mixture (about 2 cups) and fold in the pureed strawberries until well combined.

4

Prepare Chocolate Ice Cream

For the chocolate variant, take another portion of the mixture (about 2 cups) and whisk in the cocoa powder until fully incorporated.

Churning and Freezing

5

Churn the Ice Cream

Pour the vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate mixtures separately into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until the ice cream reaches a soft-serve consistency.

6

Freeze the Ice Cream

Transfer the churned ice cream to airtight containers and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
