Cooking Instructions
Sauté the Garlic and Chile
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and dried chile de árbol, sautéing for about 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant but not browned.
Cook the Shrimp
Add the shrimp to the skillet, seasoning with salt and black pepper. Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.
Add the Tequila and Lemon Juice
Pour in the tequila and lemon juice. Allow to cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, letting the alcohol cook off and the sauce to slightly reduce.
Prepare the Tortillas
While the shrimp is cooking, warm the corn tortillas on a separate skillet or directly over a flame for a few seconds on each side until soft and pliable.
Serve
Serve the shrimp mixture hot, garnished with fresh cilantro, alongside the warm corn tortillas.
