Decant (optional)

Hold the glass by the stem and pour about 5–6 ounces (150–180 ml) into a large Bordeaux-style glass. Fill to the widest part of the bowl to allow swirling and oxygen contact.

Pour

Swirl the wine gently to release aromas, then take a small sniff to identify primary notes (black cherry, cassis, plum, cocoa, vanilla, and light oak).
