1. Muddle Sugar and Bitters
In a mixing glass, place the sugar cube and douse it with the Angostura bitters. Add the teaspoon of water and muddle until the sugar is dissolved completely.
2. Add Bourbon
Pour 2 oz of Blanton's Bourbon into the mixing glass with the muddled sugar and bitters. Stir gently to combine the flavors.
3. Prepare Ice
Fill an old-fashioned glass with a large ice cube or several smaller ones, depending on your preference.
4. Strain and Serve
Strain the bourbon mixture over the prepared ice in the old-fashioned glass.
