Wontons
Broth
Method
Making the Wontons
Prepare the Filling
In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, tiger shrimp, water chestnuts, Asian vegetables, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic. Mix until well combined.
Fill the Wontons
Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the filling onto the center of the wrapper. Moisten the edges with water, fold the wrapper in half to form a triangle, and press to seal. Fold the two corners of the triangle towards the center to create a wonton shape. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
Making the Broth
Prepare the Broth
In a large pot, bring the chicken broth to a boil. Add green onions, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Adjust seasoning to taste.
Cooking the Wontons
Cook the Wontons
Once the broth is boiling, gently add the wontons to the pot. Cook for about 5-7 minutes or until the wontons float to the top and are cooked through.
Serve
Ladle the wontons and broth into bowls and garnish with additional green onions if desired. Serve hot.
