Preparation
Make the Ice Cream Base
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, and a pinch of salt until the sugar is dissolved.
Add Flavoring
For Vanilla Ice Cream: Stir in the pure vanilla extract. For Mexican Chocolate Ice Cream: Add the cocoa powder and cinnamon, and mix until well combined.
Chill the Mixture
Cover the bowl and refrigerate the mixture for at least 2 hours, or until it is completely chilled.
Churn the Ice Cream
Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
Freeze the Ice Cream
Transfer the churned ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
Serve
Scoop the Walrus Ice Cream into bowls or cones and enjoy!
