Apple Juice (makes ~2 cups)
Orange Juice (makes ~2 cups)
Pineapple Juice (makes ~2 cups)
Method
Apple Juice
Prepare fruit
Wash the apples thoroughly. Core and cut into quarters. No need to peel unless you prefer a smoother texture.
Blend
Place the apple pieces in a blender with 60 ml cold water and 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice. Blend on high until completely smooth, about 45–60 seconds.
Strain (optional)
For a clear juice, strain the blended apple through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a pitcher, pressing/pouring to extract as much liquid as possible. For a pulpy juice, skip this step.
Sweeten & chill
Taste the juice and add up to 1 teaspoon honey or simple syrup if desired. Stir until dissolved. Refrigerate briefly or serve immediately over ice cubes.
Serve in 8–10 oz glasses. Stir before pouring if the juice has settled.
Orange Juice
Prepare fruit
Roll each orange on the countertop with your palm to make them easier to juice. Cut in half crosswise.
Juice
Use a handheld citrus juicer or electric juicer to extract juice from all orange halves into a bowl or pitcher, straining out seeds. If you prefer more pulp, catch the pulp and add some back in.
Adjust consistency & brightness
If the juice is too thick, stir in up to 30 ml cold water. Add 1 teaspoon fresh lemon or lime juice if you want more brightness. Taste and adjust.
Serve chilled over ice if desired. Stir before pouring if juice has separated.
Pineapple Juice
Prepare fruit
Cut off the crown and base of the pineapple. Stand it upright and slice away the skin top to bottom. Remove any remaining eyes with the tip of a knife. Cut pineapple into chunks, removing the core if you prefer a smoother texture (core is edible but tougher).
Blend
Place pineapple chunks in a blender with 30 ml cold water and 1 teaspoon fresh lime juice. Blend on high until smooth, about 45–60 seconds.
Strain (optional)
For a smoother, less fibrous juice, strain the blended pineapple through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a pitcher, pressing to extract liquid. If you like more body, skip straining.
Store any leftovers in a sealed container in the refrigerator and consume within 24–48 hours for best freshness.
