Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Rib Steak

Take the USDA Prime Rib Steak out of the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before cooking. This allows for even cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub the rib steak with olive oil, and season generously with kosher salt, black pepper, and garlic powder on both sides. Sprinkle fresh rosemary over the steak for added flavor.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Broiler

Preheat your oven’s broiler on high. Allow it to heat for about 10 minutes.

  4. 4

    Broil the Steak

Place the seasoned rib steak on a broiler pan and put it under the broiler. Cook for about 6-8 minutes on one side, until a nice crust forms.

  5. 5

    Flip and Continue Cooking

Carefully flip the steak using tongs, and broil for an additional 6-8 minutes for medium-rare doneness. Adjust cooking time depending on your desired level of doneness.

  6. 6

    Rest the Steak

Once cooked to your liking, remove the steak from the broiler and let it rest for 5-10 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.

  7. 7

    Prepare the Grilled Vegetables

While the steak is resting, grill the mixed vegetables over medium heat until tender and slightly charred, about 5-7 minutes.

  8. 8

    Serve

Slice the rib steak against the grain and serve alongside the grilled vegetables.
