Chicken Strips
Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Rinse the chicken breasts under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
- 2
Season the Chicken
In a bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Rub this seasoning mixture all over the chicken breasts.
- 3
Set Up Breading Station
Prepare a breading station by placing the flour in one shallow dish, the beaten egg in another dish, and the breadcrumbs in a third dish.
- 4
Bread the Chicken
Dip each seasoned chicken breast first into the flour, then into the beaten egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs, ensuring they are well covered.
Cooking
- 5
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat until hot.
- 6
Fry the Chicken Strips
Carefully place the breaded chicken breasts into the hot oil, cooking for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- 7
Drain the Chicken
Once cooked, remove the chicken strips from the skillet and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
Serving
- 8
Plate the Chicken Strips
Serve the chicken strips hot, accompanied by a side of sweet-and-sour sauce for dipping.
