Glass & Garnish
Prepare glass
Fill the highball or Collins glass with cubed ice to chill while you mix the drink.
Set aside a lemon wedge and a maraschino cherry for garnish.
Mixing the drink
Combine ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, add gin (1.25 oz), blended Scotch (0.75 oz), sweet vermouth (0.5 oz), orange liqueur (0.25 oz), fresh lemon juice (0.5 oz), simple syrup (0.25 oz), and 2 dashes of Angostura bitters.
Add ice and shake
Fill the shaker with ice, secure the lid, and shake vigorously for 10–12 seconds until well chilled and slightly diluted.
Top (optional)
If you prefer a lighter, longer beverage, gently top with about 1 oz club soda and give a single gentle stir to incorporate.
Garnish & Serve
Garnish with the lemon wedge on the rim and drop the maraschino cherry into the drink. Serve immediately with a short stirring spoon or straw.
