Method

Prepare Fruit

1

Wash and dry

Rinse strawberries, grapes, blueberries, kiwi, apple, and pineapple pieces under cold running water. Pat dry thoroughly with clean kitchen towels or paper towels to avoid watering down the plate.

2

Strawberries

Trim the green hulls from the strawberries and slice them in halves or quarters depending on size so they are bite-size and visually appealing.

3

Grapes and blueberries

Remove grapes from stems and discard any that are overly soft. Keep blueberries whole.

4

Pineapple

If using a fresh pineapple, remove the skin and core, then cut the flesh into 1/2- to 3/4-inch bite-size chunks. If using pre-cut pineapple, drain any excess juice and pat dry.

5

Kiwi

Peel the kiwis with a paring knife or spoon and slice into rounds or half-moons about 1/4 inch thick.

6

Orange

Peel and segment the orange (supremes) or peel and slice into rounds. Remove as much pith as possible for a clean look.

7

Apple

Core the apple and cut into thin wedges. To prevent browning, toss the apple slices immediately with 1/2 tablespoon of the lime juice.

8

Banana

Peel and slice the banana into 1/4-inch rounds just before plating to avoid discoloration. If you want to prepare slightly ahead, toss banana slices with a small sprinkle of remaining lime juice and a pinch of cinnamon.

Garnish & Finish

9

Optional honey glaze

If using honey, warm the teaspoon of honey for 5–8 seconds in the microwave until runny, then stir together with the remaining 1/2 tablespoon lime juice to make a light glaze. Drizzle very lightly over the pineapple and strawberries to add shine and a touch of sweetness.

10

Assemble the plate

Choose a large platter or individual plates. Arrange the prepared fruit in small clusters or sections (for color contrast: e.g., strawberries next to blueberries, pineapple across from kiwi) leaving small gaps for visual appeal. Place grapes in small bunches or scatter them to fill gaps. Fan apple wedges or layer orange segments for texture.

11

Add garnishes

Sprinkle toasted coconut flakes over the pineapple or around the plate if using. Scatter fresh mint leaves over the fruit or place a small mint sprig as a focal point. Lightly dust apple/banana areas with the optional cinnamon if desired.

12

Serve

Serve immediately at room temperature or chilled. If not serving right away, cover loosely and refrigerate for up to 2 hours; add bananas and apple slices just before serving for best appearance.
