Preparation
Season the Steak
Pat the Alberta Angus ribeye steaks dry with paper towels. Generously season both sides with kosher salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Let the steaks sit at room temperature for 30 minutes to allow the seasoning to penetrate.
Cooking
Sear the Steaks
Add the seasoned ribeye steaks to the hot skillet. Sear for about 4-5 minutes on one side without moving them to achieve a nice crust.
Flip and Add Aromatics
Flip the steaks and add fresh rosemary sprigs to the skillet. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness.
Rest the Steaks
Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest on a cutting board for 5-10 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.
