Method

Cake Preparation

1

Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8-inch round cake pan.

2

Melt Chocolate and Butter

In a medium saucepan, melt the dark chocolate and unsalted butter over low heat, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

3

Mix Sugar and Eggs

In a large bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar and eggs until well combined and slightly thickened.

4

Combine Mixtures

Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, stirring until fully combined.

5

Add Flavorings

Stir in the vanilla extract, cocoa powder, and a pinch of salt until smooth.

6

Bake the Cake

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cake has set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

7

Cool and Serve

Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before serving.
