Directions
Prepare tasting setup
Chill three stemmed tasting glasses and label them A, B, and C. Have a small glass or spoon for rinsing and set aside 60 ml of sparkling water for palate cleansing.
Pour Tequila A
Into Glass A, pour 30 ml of Tequila A (Blanco). Keep it unmixed to preserve the clean, peppery agave notes characteristic of Blanco tequila.
Pour Tequila B
Into Glass B, pour 30 ml of Tequila B (Reposado). Note the gentle oak and vanilla notes from the barrel aging.
Pour Tequila C
Into Glass C, pour 30 ml of Tequila C (Añejo). Observe the deeper caramel and spice notes from longer aging.
Taste and cleanse
Between sips, palate cleanse with a small sip (about 15–20 ml) of sparkling water. Swirl, sniff, and then take a small sip of the next tequila to compare aromas and flavors.
Finish with lime aroma
Twist the lime wedge over the final sip to release citrus oils, rub the rim lightly on the lips if desired, and add a fresh squeeze into the mouth to brighten the finish.
