Bruschetta Topping
Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Clams and Mushrooms
In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the finely chopped mushrooms and cook until they are soft and browned, about 5-7 minutes. Then, add the shucked clams and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until heated through. Stir in the chopped parsley, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat and set aside.
- 2
Toast the Bread
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice a baguette or crusty bread into 1/2-inch thick slices. Brush both sides of each slice with olive oil and place them on a baking sheet. Toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- 3
Assemble the Bruschetta
Once the bread is toasted, remove it from the oven. Spoon the clam and mushroom mixture generously onto each slice of toasted bread. Drizzle with a little extra olive oil if desired.
- 4
Serve
Serve the clam-mushroom bruschetta warm, garnished with additional parsley if desired. Enjoy!
