Steak and Fries
Method
Preparation and Cooking
Fry the Potatoes
In a large pot, heat oil over medium heat. Once hot, carefully add the potato strips in batches (do not overcrowd) and fry for about 5-7 minutes until golden and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to drain excess oil. Season with salt to taste.
Season the Steak
While the fries are cooking, season the ribeye steaks with salt and black pepper on both sides.
Prepare the Creole Butter
In a small bowl, mix together the softened unsalted butter, minced garlic, and creole seasoning until well combined. Set aside.
Rest the Steak
Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes on a cutting board before slicing.
Serve
Slice the steaks against the grain and serve alongside the crispy fries. Garnish with chopped parsley for added flavor.
