Waffle Batter
Method
Waffle Preparation
Prepare the Waffle Batter
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, beat the eggs and then mix in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Gently fold in the caramelized pearl sugar.
Preheat the Waffle Iron
Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Cook the Waffles
Lightly grease the waffle iron and pour an appropriate amount of batter (about 1 cup) onto the center of the iron. Close the lid and cook until the waffles are golden brown and crisp, usually about 4-5 minutes.
Prepare the Toppings
While the waffles are cooking, slice the fresh peaches and prepare the candied pecans.
Serve
Serve the waffles warm, topped with fresh peaches, candied pecans, a dollop of whipped cream, and a drizzle of Sugarbush Farms maple syrup.
