Prepare glass

Select an old-fashioned (rocks) glass. Fill the glass with ice cubes to chill while you build the drink, then discard a few cubes if the glass becomes too full (leave 3–4 cubes in the glass).

Build the drink

Pour 2 oz Finlandia vodka and 1 oz Kahlúa directly into the ice-filled glass.

Add half-and-half

Slowly pour 1 oz half-and-half over the back of a spoon (or gently down the side) so it floats and creates a layered look, or pour directly and stir lightly for a homogenous drink. Stir gently 3–5 times if you prefer the flavors mixed.

Garnish

If using, float 3 coffee beans on top or sprinkle a small pinch of freshly grated nutmeg or cocoa powder as a finishing touch.

Serve

Serve immediately with a short stirring spoon or straw so the guest can mix further to taste.
