Bloody Caesar Cocktail

Method

Prepare Glass and Make Cocktail

  1. 1

    Rim the Glass

Run the lime wedge around the outer rim of a highball or pint glass. On a small flat plate, mix celery salt and coarse salt. Dip the moistened rim into the salt mixture, rotating to coat evenly. Set the glass aside.

  2. 2

    Build the Drink

Fill the rimmed glass with ice cubes until about three-quarters full.

  3. 3

    Mix Ingredients

In a mixing glass or cocktail shaker filled with a few ice cubes, add 2 oz vodka, 4 oz Clamato, 0.5 tsp Worcestershire sauce, 3 dashes hot sauce, 0.5 oz fresh lime juice, and a pinch of freshly ground black pepper. Stir gently for about 10–15 seconds to chill and combine. (Do not vigorously shake — you want it mixed and slightly aerated but not overly foamy.)

  4. 4

    Taste and Adjust

Taste the cocktail and adjust seasoning if desired: add an extra dash of hot sauce for heat or another 0.25 tsp Worcestershire for savory depth. Stir briefly after adjusting.

  5. 5

    Strain and Garnish

Strain the mixed cocktail into the prepared glass over the ice. Garnish with the reserved lime wedge on the rim and a celery stalk placed in the glass for stirring and presentation.
