Method
Marinating the Chicken
Marinate the Chicken
Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it's well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.
Grilling the Chicken
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 400°F or 190°C to 200°C).
Grill the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the leftover marinade. Place the chicken on the hot grill and cook for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
Let it Rest
Once cooked, transfer the chicken to a cutting board and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Assembling the Tacos
Warm the Tortillas
While the chicken is resting, warm the corn tortillas on the grill for about 30 seconds on each side until pliable.
Slice the Chicken
Slice the grilled chicken into thin strips.
Build the Tacos
To assemble, place a few slices of chicken on each tortilla. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, chopped cilantro, and slices of avocado.
Add Toppings
Spoon a dollop of sour cream on top of each taco and serve with lime wedges on the side.
