Prepare the Broth
In a large pot, heat the chicken or vegetable broth over medium heat. Add the soy sauce, miso paste, and sesame oil. Stir until the miso is dissolved and the mixture is well combined. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Cook the Noodles
In a separate pot, bring water to a boil. Add the ramen noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Prepare the Toppings
Rehydrate the wakame seaweed by soaking it in warm water for about 5 minutes. Slice the scallions thinly. Cut charsiu into thin slices and slice the fishcake.
