Method
Prepare Water & Sweeteners
Dissolve sugars
If using still water, heat 50 ml of water to about 50–60°C (do not boil). Add the sucrose and glucose and stir until fully dissolved to make a simple sweetener solution. Cool to room temperature before continuing. (If you have pre-carbonated water, skip heating and dissolve sugars in a small amount of warm water.)
Add citric acid to the cooled sugar solution and stir to dissolve. This provides the base tartness typical of energy drinks.
Active Ingredient Solution
Measure and dissolve actives
In a small hygienic container, measure taurine (1000 mg), glucuronolactone (600 mg), inositol (50 mg), and the vitamin B components. Dissolve them into about 20–30 ml of room-temperature water. Stir until fully integrated. If any powders are slow to dissolve, a brief gentle warming (up to 40°C) can help, then cool back to room temperature.
Blend & Adjust
Combine the cooled sugar/citric solution and the active ingredient solution in a clean mixing vessel. Add the natural & artificial flavor blend (about 1 ml) and the preservative if using. Stir thoroughly to obtain a uniform solution.
Check the pH: it should be mildly acidic (around pH 3.0–3.5). If necessary, add a very small pinch (≈0.2 g) of sodium bicarbonate to gently raise pH toward that range, mixing and re-checking. Do not over-adjust.
Carbonation & Final Assembly
Chill 250 ml of carbonated water to 2–4°C. Slowly combine the flavored active solution with the chilled carbonated water to preserve carbonation. Gently stir once or twice — avoid vigorous agitation to minimize foaming and CO2 loss.
Taste and, if desired, adjust sweetness (add up to 2–3 g more sugar dissolved in a small amount of water) or flavor (tiny additional drops of flavor blend). Mix gently.
If serving immediately, pour the drink over 3 ice cubes in a tall glass and garnish with a lemon wedge if desired. For canning or bottling, transfer into sterilized container, leaving headspace, and seal promptly to preserve carbonation.
