Preparing the Tuna

Season the Tuna
Drizzle the habanero oil over the tuna steaks and sprinkle with salt. Allow the steaks to marinate for about 15 minutes to enhance the flavor.

Sear the Tuna
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the tuna steaks for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes.

Slice the Tuna
Using a sharp knife, slice the tuna steaks into thin, circular pieces.
Preparing the Tostada Base

Heat the Oil
In a deep skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat until it shimmers.

Fry the Tortillas
Carefully place one corn tortilla into the hot oil. Fry for 1-2 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels. Repeat with the remaining tortillas.
Assembling the Tostadas

Layer the Toppings
On each crispy tostada, layer some shredded cabbage, diced tomatoes, and a few slices of avocado.

Place the sliced tuna steaks on top of the layered toppings.

Sprinkle fresh cilantro on top and serve with lime wedges on the side.
