Method
Rim
Prepare the rim mix
On a small plate, combine coarse salt, celery salt, and smoked paprika. Mix evenly.
Run the lime wedge around the outer rim of a highball or pint glass to moisten it.
Dip the moistened rim into the rim mix, twisting to coat evenly. Set glass aside.
Cocktail
Fill the rimmed glass with ice cubes until about 3/4 full.
In a cocktail shaker (or stirring glass) add vodka, prepared horseradish, fresh lime juice, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, celery salt and a pinch of black pepper.
Taste and adjust: add another dash of hot sauce or 1/4 tsp horseradish if you prefer more heat, or a touch more lime if brighter acidity is desired.
Garnish with a lime wedge and a celery stalk or pickle spear. Optionally sprinkle a light pinch of celery salt and cracked black pepper over the top as a final touch.
