Method

Beverage Station - Coffee

1

Brew coffee

Brew 12 cups of fresh drip coffee using medium-ground coffee and your preferred strength. If you need decaf or extra, keep 2 cups of hot water available for steeping decaf or diluting strong brews.

2

Keep the brewed coffee in an insulated carafe or airpot to maintain temperature for serving (about 175–185°F / 79–85°C).

3

Pour the whole milk and half-and-half into separate small pitchers and place them on the beverage table. Keep an additional coffee creamer for flavored preference.

4

Place granulated sugar, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and vanilla extract in small bowls or dispensers. Label the cinnamon and vanilla as flavor options.

5

Provide teaspoons or stirrers and set out cups so guests can serve themselves. Advise guests to add milk/cream and sweeteners to taste.

Beverage Station - Tea

6

Prepare hot water

Heat 12 cups of water to near boiling (about 200°F / 93°C) and keep it in a hot water urn or thermal carafe for tea service.

7

Arrange assorted tea bags (black, green, herbal) in a container or small basket. Place a sign indicating steeping times: black 3–5 min, green 2–3 min, herbal 5–7 min.

8

Place lemon slices, honey, plain sugar and milk nearby for guests to customize. Keep honey in a squeeze bottle or small jar with a spoon. Label milk for those who prefer it in tea.

9

Provide mugs or cups and stirrers. Suggest guests steep tea bags in hot water for the recommended time, then remove the tea bag before adding sweetener or milk.

Optional Adult Add-ins

10

If offering alcoholic options: keep Irish cream and coffee liqueur sealed and clearly labeled as optional adult additions. Offer a small sign with suggested portions: 1 tbsp (15 ml) liqueur per 8 oz cup.

11

Provide whipped cream and ground nutmeg for garnish. Guests can top coffee with whipped cream and a light dusting of nutmeg for an indulgent option.

12

Keep alcoholic add-ins separate from general condiments and remind guests to consume responsibly.

Service Items

13

Set out paper cups, tea cups/mugs, sugar packets and stirrers within easy reach of the beverage station. Refill trays as needed throughout the event.

14

Place trash and recycling bins nearby for used tea bags, cups, and stirrers.
