Crispy Chicken Sliders Ingredients
Method
Preparation Directions
Marinate the Chicken
In a bowl, combine the chicken breast with buttermilk, salt, and pepper. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
Prepare the Breading
In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, cornstarch, Korean chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
Make the Slaw
In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage, shredded carrot, mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, sugar, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Toss until well combined and set aside.
Fry the Chicken
Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing excess buttermilk to drip off. Dredge each piece in the flour mixture, pressing lightly. Fry the chicken in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.
Assemble the Sliders
Place a piece of fried chicken on the bottom half of each slider bun, top with a generous amount of the cabbage slaw, and cover with the top half of the bun. Serve immediately.
