Cocktail Preparation
Prepare the Glass
Chill a martini glass by filling it with ice water while you prepare the cocktail.
Muddle the Basil
In a cocktail shaker, add the fresh basil leaves and muddle gently with a muddler or the back of a spoon to release the basil's aroma and flavor.
Add Liquids
Pour in the pistachio vodka, macadamia nut liqueur, simple syrup, and fresh lemon juice into the shaker with the muddled basil.
Shake the Mixture
Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until well chilled.
Prepare the Glass
Empty the ice water from the chilled martini glass.
Strain and Serve
Strain the mixture into the chilled martini glass. Optionally, garnish with crushed pistachios on top.
