Chill glass
Place a rocks or highball glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes or fill with ice water while you prepare the cocktail to ensure the drink stays cold.
Build and mix
Fill a mixing glass or shaker with the cubed ice. Pour in the vodka, red grape juice, and freshly squeezed lime juice. Stir gently with a bar spoon for 10–15 seconds to chill and lightly dilute the mixture.
Add ginger beer and strain
Add the chilled ginger beer to the mixing glass and stir once gently to combine (do not shake to preserve carbonation). Dump the ice or water from the chilled serving glass if you used that method. Fill the serving glass with fresh ice, then double-strain the cocktail mixture into the glass over the ice.
Garnish & Serve
Thread 5–6 seedless red grapes onto a small cocktail pick or skewer. Place the grape skewer across the rim or rest it on top of the ice. Add the lime wheel to the rim or drop it into the drink for aroma. Serve immediately with a short stirring spoon.
